Flox Rflection

1.To create our artwork we used sponges paint and stencils. Then we made a plan our plan had to be finished before we could start our artwork.once we were finished we were aloud to start our artwork I started of with painting the backround which was optional. I painted my backround light blue.After we did that we used the stencils to paint on the flowers plants and birds.we had to use layers and layers.
 2.The easiest part was painting the backround because there was just a flat circle.                         3.The part I found hard was using the stencils because not all of them were dry and paint goes on other places of the artwork.
4. I liked how I layed the the bird and flowers also plants out on my picture
5.Next time I would try to add more items on my artwork.

Flox

We have been studying flox this term because our main focus this term is creative explorers.
Some people call her the bird lady.Her main focus in art is nature and birds. She lived in a small town.
She was in hamilton last week because she was painting the Library in town.

 What was our big idea? our big idea for this term is collaboration.
what has been your favourite collaboration activity we have done this term and what we had to do ?Marshmallow sculpture we had to build a sculpture about our community like signs and logos.
what activity did you enjoy the most ? .We got to user a food item which was marshmallows and it was a fun and creative activity. what role do you think you did the best?why do you think this? Media specialist because i shared back to the class clearly.which role did you find the most difficult ? why is this?. police officer because the group was a bit loud .

Our assembly

Last week on Friday week 5 was our assembly.My Mum and Dad came . I shared my falling artwork and discussion buddies post.My favourite thing was everything because the whole thing was fun.i would not change it if i could .

production

last night was the vardon school production the production was about many cultures in newzeland . I was very nervous about going on stage in front of a lot of people. before the production we had to wait in our cflass rooms till it was our turn.

Production 2015

the production we did this year I was in the African group. We did the gumboot dance the lions sleeps tonight song with actions and a Saphari .the part I most enjoyed in the production was the Samoan because it was interesting to watch the dances.one suggestion I have is having more time time on stage. I enjoyed doing the gumboot dance because fun to do and I have never done it before in front of a lot of people.

End of year Reflection

My favourite thing this year was camp because it was really fun to do new things. the most challenging thing this year was caving and abseiling because i have never done them before and my goal for 2016 is to try join as much clubs as i can.

Athletics

My favourite sport in athletics is high jump and my goal for athletics day is trying to jump higher over the high jump bar run faster throw higher and jump longer.

Fruit Kebabs

The day before it was the school holidays which was Friday . We made fruit kebabs we were put into groups the reason why we got to have fruit kebabs is because we had treasure chest and if we coloured in all the gems on the treasure chest we got to make kebabs i did. First we cut our fruit up if we haven't yet i brought oranges .After that we put the fruit on our plates in our group the fruit we had was kiwi fruit oranges and bananas . Then we put the fruit on our kebab sticks after we had finish making them we got to put on marshmallows the wining group got marshmallows shaped like ducks i got normal ones plus one duck because there were spares then when we had finished putting on our marshmallows we got to have chocolate sauce on top. And then we ate them they were Delicious. My favourite part was eating them.

our school production

I am in the african group for the production .I am performing the gumboot dance and the lion sleeps tonight i am a leopard.My group is starting of with the gumboot dance which is what they do to protest because they were not aloud toy use drums the gumboot dance is also were they dance in gumboots and overalls . Next we there is a bush sapaheri which there is a person who researches us then .Then do the song called the lion sleeps tonight i am a leopard . I am most looking fored to doing the gumboot dance and also reverse about doing it.

candy word

One dark night i went to bed then i heard something saying candy candy i was asleep i tried to wake up but then i saw a tree with round marshmallows covered with colored frosting and edible glitter then i saw something jump out it was a candy mushroom he said welcome to edible candy word and i will show you around i said how did i get here the giant candy mushroom just ignored me so i just followed him.

First he showed me the candy stream with was edible to it had edible glitter and a white chocolate stream then he showed me the giant edible flowers i said are these edible too of course these giant flowers  are  edible said the mushroom so is everything oles i said yes of course i just said everything is edible so we moved on to the warpath that had a candy shop on the side the candy mushroom said here are some chocolate coins to bye some stuff then he said try to find some candy togs in their i said why then he said meet me at the top of the mountain and then he vanished so i went to go find some candy togs and a little something for my self and my mum after i found some togs i went over the bridge and to the top of the candy mountain  i said sorry i was late i was hungry he showed me a huge pool of edible flowers chocolate candy balls even candy mushrooms when i was running to get to the pool with candy in it i was so scared then when i got their i was pushed and then aaaaaaaaaaaaaa TO BE CONTINUED.

Seven sharp interview last wednsday

Last Wednesday room 14 got to do so much fun things.we got to be on TV and other things the reason why we are on TV is because the year 7's and 6's last year write  a book with Doug called dont mess with these kids .The part i found most exciting was the whole day.i learnt more about Doug and seven sharp.
The part of the day i enjoyed the most was seeing the year sevens because i have not seen most of them in a long time.I will probably remember meeting Doug Wilson for the rest of my life.

ANZAC My Family Connections

Room 14's Field of Remembrance

This week  room 14 made a field of remembrance by making crosses. To make the crosses we had to put one a small bit of wood on to a bigger bit of wood. Then we put labels of the people that died in the war like solders and nurses and on the top of the crosses we put a sticker of a silver fern and a Poppy.

The next day we put nails in them and then we put them by the flag pole. We did this so we can remember the solders and nurses that died in the World War 1.

On Friday was tabloids day. My favourite part was sponge race.The hardest part for me was tug of war.I had a fun day.

Athletics

I feel nervous and excited for tomorrow.I would like to achieve jumping further in long jump. My favorite event is high jump because i like jumping over the bar. I am looking forward to doing athletics tomorrow!
